JEAN MORRISON BECKER (1917-1995)Jean Morrison Becker (1917-1994) worked as a modernist painter and teacher throughout her career. She was a community and artists' advocate and in her later years, a gallery director. She met her husband, the artist Fred Becker (1913-2004), at Atelier 17 in New York. They lived and worked in St. Louis, Missouri, and Amherst, Massachusetts.
