AMERICAN MODERNISM: SUMMER, 2022
Building on the interest in American modernist work of recent national exhibitions we're featuring artists from two summer shows. Work by WILLIAM BAZIOTES, FRED BECKER, EDMOND CASARELLA, MINNA CITRON, WORDEN DAY, DOROTHY DEHNER, FANNIE HILLSMITH, HUGH MESIBOV, and MITCHELL SIPORIN, is in Graphic Eloquence: American Modernism on Paper, at the Georgia Museum of Art, Athens, through September 5th. Work by ISAMI DOI, MAX WEBER, and MARGUERITE ZORACH, is in At the Dawn of a New Age: Early Twentieth-Century American Modernism, at the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, NY, through January 1, 2023.
Also this summer, WILLIAM BAZIOTES: Mid-Century Modern, at the Reading Public Museum, Reading, PA, through September 25.
