KATHARINE GALLAGHER   (1901-1992)
Throughout the 1930s, 40s, and 50s,Katharine McCollum Gallagher (wife of Michael J. Gallagher) wrote and illustrated stories that were inspired by her children, Louise, Jack, and Martha. Her drawings appeared in Jack and Jill Magazine through the 40s and 50s, and she was an Arts and Crafts Specialist for the Philadelphia Recreation Department from 1958 to 1971. Her work was shown here in Families/Cities Shift, April 5 through May 11, 2013.
