EDITH SCHLOSS (1919-2011)Edith Schloss was a fascinating artist and writer who came to this county on a British convoy in 1941. She found her way to the Art Students League where she worked with Harry Sternberg and Will Barnet, and met Bertold Brecht, all in 1942. She was married to Rudy Burckhardt and friends with Willem and Elaine de Kooning, John Cage, Cy Twombly, Fairfield Porter, and Frank O'Hara.
