BEULAH STEVENSON   (1890 -1965)
Beulah Stevenson was a native New Yorker. She lived in Brooklyn her entire life and attended the Pratt Institute and the Art Students League where she worked with John Sloan. She also studied in Provincetown with Hans Hofmann. Stevenson taught art at the Brooklyn Girls High School and was a curator at the Brooklyn Museum. Her work is in the collections of the Brooklyn Museum (they give her birth year as 1875), and the New York Public Library.
